Send a photo or a file in a chat

Send up to four photos or PDFs into a conversation. Sending one hands the chat to you.
Send it
- Open the chat.
- Tap + next to the composer.
- Pick one:
- - Take photo — snap the item now.
- - Attach image — from your photos.
- - Choose file — a PDF: a receipt, a size guide, an invoice.
- Add a message if you want.
- Send.
What is allowed
- Photos: JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each.
- Files: PDF only, up to 20 MB.
- Four attachments per message, sent in the order you listed them.
Big photos are shrunk before they go out, so they arrive on a small data bundle.
What the customer gets
On WhatsApp your message becomes the caption on the first photo. One message.
On Instagram the photo goes first and your message follows as its own message. Instagram has no caption field.
Good to know
- Sending anything hands the chat to you. Vendwa steps back until you hand it back. See Take over a chat.
- Give files a readable name. It is what the customer sees on WhatsApp.
- If a send fails, nothing was written into the chat. Try again.
