Rename a customer

Give a chat a name you recognise — "Ama from Spintex" beats a phone number.
A WhatsApp thread shows a phone number. An Instagram thread shows a handle. Neither tells you who it is at a glance.
Rename
- Open the chat.
- Tap the name at the top.
- Type the name you want — up to 40 characters.
- Save.
The new name shows in the thread and in your inbox list.
Undo it
Clear the field and save. The label goes back to what the channel calls them — the WhatsApp profile name, or the Instagram @handle.
Good to know
- The customer never sees this. It is your label, in your app.
- Anyone on your team can rename a customer, including a salesperson. Naming somebody is customer service, not a pricing decision.
- WhatsApp does not share customer profile photos with businesses, so WhatsApp chats show initials instead. That is WhatsApp, not a fault in Vendwa.
