A WhatsApp sales bot built for Ghana shops — not a chatbot

If you're looking for a WhatsApp sales bot in Ghana, the first thing worth sorting out is what you're actually buying — because most of what gets sold under that name is an auto-reply with better marketing, and the difference costs you money every night.
An auto-reply holds the customer. A sales bot sells to her.
An auto-reply has one message and it sends it to everybody. "Thanks for your message, we'll get back to you shortly." It's a doorbell. It tells the customer somebody isn't home.
Here's the same 11:40pm chat, both ways.
She's found a dress on your status. She wants to know if you have the large, whether you deliver to Kasoa, and what your last price is.
With an auto-reply: she's told to wait until morning. By morning she's bought from a shop that answered.
With a sales bot that actually works: she's told the large is in stock, that Kasoa is GH₵35, and that GH₵170 is the best on that one and it can go out tomorrow. She agrees. Your MoMo details and the exact amount arrive in the chat. You wake up to a paid order.
Same software category on paper. Two completely different businesses.
If you're weighing the two seriously, we wrote them out side by side: auto-reply versus an AI sales agent.
Why the global tools don't fit a Ghana shop
There are dozens of well-built WhatsApp bots. Most of them are wrong for you, and not because they're bad.
They were built for support, not selling. Their whole design is deflection — answer the question, close the ticket, keep a human out of it. Your problem is the opposite. You want the conversation to end in an order.
They can't negotiate. "Last price?" is the most common sales message in Ghana and a support bot has nothing to say to it. It will either quote the listed price and lose the customer, or say something vague and pass the chat to you, which is where you started.
They don't do MoMo. They'll offer you card checkout links and Stripe. Your customer is going to send Mobile Money and expect you to confirm it, and no global tool is built around that.
They don't speak the way your customers do. Half your messages contain Pidgin, or a voice note, or "how much be dat one". A bot trained for American e-commerce support handles that badly.
They're priced in dollars. Which is a real cost when you earn cedis, and a real risk when the rate moves.
Four questions to ask any vendor
Whether you look at us or anybody else, these separate the products that will work from the ones that will sit unused after a month.
1. Does it know my actual prices and stock? Not "can it be trained on a document" — can it read your catalogue and say this exact item, this price, three left? If it's guessing from a PDF, it will invent a price at some point, and you'll find out from a customer.
2. Can it refuse a bad offer? A bot that can be talked down is worse than no bot. Ask specifically: is there a lowest price it cannot go below, and is that enforced by the system or is it just an instruction the AI has been given? Those are very different answers.
3. Can I take over mid-chat? You will want to. Ask how many taps it takes, whether it goes quiet when you do, and whether you can pause the whole thing for a day.
4. Who marks an order paid? If the software can decide a payment arrived, goods will eventually leave your shop against money that never came. The only safe answer is: you do, from your own MoMo alert.
What Vendwa does
It runs on your existing WhatsApp number. Your customers reach you exactly as they do now.
It answers from your real catalogue. The actual price, the actual stock, the sizes you have, more photos when she asks. It reads your product descriptions too — so someone asking for "something for a wedding" can be shown an item whose name says neither word, because you wrote down what it's for.
It negotiates to a floor you set. Each product carries its own secret lowest price. Vendwa comes down in small steps, always with a reason — "GH₵170 because you're taking two" — and stops at your floor. The check runs on the arithmetic before any reply is sent, so there's no phrasing that gets a customer underneath it. How the floor price works.
It asks for the money and waits for you. The moment a price is agreed, your MoMo details and the exact amount go into the chat. Then it stops. You confirm from your own alert, and only then does the order become paid. Vendwa can't mark it itself and it won't accept a screenshot as proof.
It refuses the tricks. Fake "the owner said" discounts, overpayment-refund requests, people claiming to be you. Politely, every time.
It speaks the way your customers do. Warm Ghanaian tone, and it mirrors Pidgin when the customer uses it. It understands voice notes.
You stay in charge. Take any chat over with a tap and Vendwa goes quiet. Pause the whole shop when you want to. How Vendwa sells on WhatsApp.
And your shop gets a public link at shop.vendwa.com/your-shop-name — items, cedi prices, sizes, stock, and an Order on WhatsApp button on every one. Free on every plan, Starter included.
What it costs, in cedis
| Starter | Pro | Business | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Per month | GH₵199 | GH₵399 | GH₵799 |
| Founding Vendor, first 3 invoices | GH₵99 | GH₵199 | GH₵399 |
| Shops | 1 | 2 | 5 |
| Channels | WhatsApp, Instagram | WhatsApp + Instagram DMs | |
| AI-handled conversations a month | 60 | 150 | 350 |
| Commission on your sales | 0% | 0% | 0% |
Billed in cedis, paid with MoMo. No card required.
Two things to be straight about. The conversation allowances are real caps — one conversation is one unique customer, and if you go over, GH₵60 adds fifteen more or you move up a plan. Nothing here is unlimited. And the Founding Vendor half-price is the first 50 shops only, for three invoices, after which you pay the normal price.

If you're comparing Ghanaian options, we wrote an honest one: ModSapp vs Vendwa — they set your shop up for you, we're self-serve, and their entry price is higher. Both facts are theirs to check.
