Your app PIN and Face ID
Your own 4-digit PIN opens the Vendwa app and confirms sensitive changes. Face ID can unlock it faster. 5 wrong tries freeze it for 24 hours.
Your phone can get lost, borrowed or picked up by a curious child. Your PIN keeps your shop closed to them.
Your PIN
Everyone on the team has their own 4-digit PIN. You create it when you sign up or accept an invite. Vendwa asks for it:
- when you open the app;
- when you come back to the app after the time in Lock again after (1 minute unless you change it);
- before some sensitive changes.
Pick 4 digits nobody can guess. Not 1234, not your birthday.
Unlock with Face ID
- Open Account, then Security.
- Turn on Face ID.
The lock screen then offers Face ID first. Your PIN still works.
Change your PIN
- Open Account, Security, Your PIN.
- Tap Change.
- Type your current PIN, then the new one twice.
If you forget it
Only Vendwa support can reset a PIN. Write to support@vendwa.com from the email on your account.
Wrong PINs
After 5 wrong tries, your PIN is frozen for 24 hours. Then you can try again. Your shop keeps selling the whole time.
Good to know
- The app checks your PIN with Vendwa, not on the phone. So unlocking needs the internet.
- If you are the owner, your PIN and your Shop PIN are the same 4 digits. Change one and the other changes too. See Your Shop PIN and changing your MoMo number.
- Had a 6-digit PIN? The app asks you to choose a new 4-digit one once.
