Lend Vendwa your voice. Get paid for it.
Vendwa answers customers for Ghanaian shops on WhatsApp. Help teach it how we really talk — every accent, Pidgin mid-sentence, price talk in a noisy market. Record short voice notes; get paid by MoMo.
One line comes in. One voice note goes back. Fifteen times.
This is the whole job.
The bot sends you one line. You hold the mic, say it the way you'd really say it, and send. Fifteen times.
Your accent, your Pidgin, your speed. That's the whole point — don't try to sound like the radio.
A laugh, a restart, a small stumble. Real customers do it. Don't re-record.
Street, market, fan, TV. Real customers don't record in studios, so neither does our test set.
Four steps, start to payment.
No app to download, no forms. Everything happens in WhatsApp, on the phone you already have.
Send VOICE on WhatsApp
Message the word VOICE to our number. The bot confirms your slot, asks you to reply AGREE to the terms, then takes your full name — as registered on your MoMo — and the MoMo number we should pay.
Record one line at a time
Product questions, price negotiations, delivery addresses, Pidgin. Say each one as a voice note, like you're really messaging a shop. Small slips are perfect — don't re-record.
A few lines with noise — on purpose
The last lines are recorded again with real background noise: street, market, fan, TV. Real customers don't record in studios, so neither does our test set.
Get paid within 48 hours
Every accepted voice note earns GH₵5, sent to your MoMo after a quick quality check. Stop halfway? You're still paid for every accepted line you recorded.
Every note that passes the check is paid. Accents and small slips cost you nothing.
Paid to the Mobile Money number you gave the bot, after the quality check.
Stop before line 15 and you're paid for every accepted line you already recorded.
Questions people ask
?Who can join?
Anyone 18 or older in Ghana with WhatsApp and a Mobile Money account registered in their own name. One person, one MoMo — that's how we pay you, and how we keep the program fair.
?What counts as an accepted voice note?
We can hear you clearly enough to understand, and it's recognisably the line asked for. Accents, natural slips and the background noise on your noisy takes are exactly what we want. Silence, a different line, or a resent copy of an earlier recording won't count — and the bot tells you your score and the reason whenever a line needs a redo.
?What happens to my recordings?
They become part of a private test set we use to measure and improve how Vendwa understands Ghanaian voices — including training our speech models. Stored securely, linked only to your name and payment record, and never published or sold. You can ask us to delete them any time before they're locked into the test set.
?Is this a job?
No — it's a one-off paid task, about ten minutes of your time per round. There's no employment relationship, no schedule, and no obligation to continue.
?The bot says all slots are taken. Now what?
Each round has limited slots so every participant gets reviewed and paid quickly. A slot opens again when someone drops out — and new rounds are announced on this page, so check back.
?Will there be more rounds?
Yes. This is an ongoing program: future rounds will cover more voices, more everyday situations, and Twi and other Ghanaian languages — each one paid the same way, through the same WhatsApp number.
The fine print, honestly
Everything about payment, privacy and what we do with the recordings lives in the Voice Project terms — written to be read, not skimmed. The short version: you're paid for every accepted recording, your voice is never published or sold, and you can walk away at any time. The project is run by BestDid Technology Ltd; questions go to support@vendwa.com.
Round 1 is open. 15 slots.
About ten minutes of your voice, up to GH₵75 for the full set, paid to your MoMo within 48 hours.
